the emc spring object has a parameter for "Score for slurping robot"; this refers to how in EMC if a spring encounters a robot on its path it will destroy it much like a yamyam destroys a diamond and continue moving. and indeed it works that way in the EM engine. but in the RnD engine springs do not do anything special when touching robots and just stop as normal.
i suggest either this be fixed and "robot slurping" be added to the RnD engine (for the very few people who will ever make an RnD levelset using springs...) or the setting simply be hidden when you're in the RnD engine.
(if the first option is taken, then may as well fix a small additional bug with springs: in EMC falling springs can crush bombs, bugs, robots, etc. just like a rock, but in RnD they can't. this makes it harder to design puzzles around them.)

to visually clarify: in the EMC engine, pushing this spring right will result in it running over/"slurping up" the robot (yielding the amount of points specified by "Score for slurping robot") and meeting the spring bouncer. in the RnD engine it will just stop at the robot.
a directly adjacent robot is also not considered an obstruction to pushing a spring in EMC; i.e. you can push the spring right from here:

Thanks for mentioning this -- I am just about to remove some of such options and settings which are only related to a certain game engine, but are also displayed when selecting a different engine which does not support it (R'n'D engine and EM engine in most cases).
Just adding the "correct" EM/EMC behaviour would indeed be another (maybe better) option...
