Heya folks,
I decided out of whim to play the Boulder Dash collection, because it's the recent thing Rocks'n'Diamonds has added with a native Boulder Dash engine...though it looks like as if at least from the outside, and based on my skim readings, there are various takes on how these kind of levels are played between the engine Krissz and GDash, before settling on Krissz.
So for my attempt, upon the level starting, and with only one path, I immediately moved forward to the right, and skipped 4 of the gems since they can't be grabbed anyway without just dying, and upon seeing a loop on whether to go north, or west, and I went upward since the exit would otherwise be inaccessible. Sadly, time ran out as there's one more gem next to the exit, as there's no way I can go any faster.
Am I missing something? Would the same occur with "Intermission 2 / 2", "Intermission 2 / 3", "Intermission 2 / 4", and "Intermission 2 / 5" in the same levelset? It looks like it's the same problem for these different versions, not being able to reach to the exit in time.
Unfortunately, this is more or less out of my realm, as despite playing a bunch of Boulder Dash-like games over the years, the Boulder Dash-style levels are a relative enigma to me, as the only relative experience playing with those physics and game mechanics is playing a game called Boulder Rush. The game has a load of levels inside, which might have it's own engine too and some quirks that wouldn't easily be noticeable for non-veteran players, and basically I just pulled up levels at random without rhyme or reason since that seems to be how it was set up at the time.
I would like to eventually record tapes for the levelsets to beat and add it in a tape collection similar to the Emerald Mine Club tape collection, and I wonder if anyone else is playing these levels in Rocks'n'Diamonds.
[4.4.1.3] "Boulder Dash" > "Various" > "Boulder Dash 3 Atari": "Intermission 2 / 1", can't reach exit

Indeed I see no way to solve this level in the time provided -- not in R'n'D and not in GDash (which should make no difference, as the game engine and game engine code is the same).
Maybe there is some trick required that I don't know? (I'm far from being a BD expert...)
Or this level is simply not solvable.

it's worth noting boulder dash 3 is quite a mess in general: https://www.lemon64.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2051 . although arno's bd3 page http://boulder-dash.nl/bd03.php?lang=en implies intermission 2 (there "Int 2") should be possible. this might be worth asking http://www.boulder-dash.nl/forum/ about. also worth seeing if it's possible in gdash (not the rnd implementation of gdash but gdash itself) though i'm not sure that's very likely.

With "not in R'n'D and not in GDash" I meant that I tested it in R'n'D (using the GDash engine) and in GDash (the original program from GitHub or whatever), and the result was the same.
