You know, it's been 20 years since the creation of this forum

What the topic title says.

So seriously, time flies, and finding it out from referring to when Holger created their forum account, or https://www.artsoft.org/2004/06/18/2-la ... web-forum/ - which is on June 2004. As newer people may not know, this is actually the third iteration of the forum, the first had severe limitations from what I faintly recall, and the second...uhh, I believe it suddenly got taken down without any of us remotely having the chance to archive the goods, which really sucked, as referring to this post: https://www.artsoft.org/2004/06/18/1-ro ... wn-reason/ - which is why this third forum iteration exists under the control of Holger in the first place.

The only thing I wished ever since is having a custom skin akin to the second forum's existence.

How you folks feel about this? It kinda feels like me and Holger are the only ones that are still around that are relatively the oldest, and I'm sure there's probably others that I might've forgotten, but it really feels like it.

Thanks for the reminder, and for your post! :)

So true! It really was nicely customized to the R'n'D theme by Alan Bond (who set up the first two forums, and posted a lot of interesting stuff which is unfortunately lost forever).

Thanks to the Wayback Machine, you can still have a look at the last snapshot of the old forum's start page:

https://web.archive.org/web/20040607194 ... rds27.com/

(Be patient, it takes a while to fully load.)

Unfortunately, no content was crawled for whatever reason, so no old posts can be accessed anymore. :(

Long live the new forum! :D
