Weird forum view count?

Is it me, or were almost all the topics reached more than 1000 or even 10000 views before the forum went down? Check the view numbers in General Discussion, and Level and Artwork Design. Is it just people who checked those topics? I don't think we ever had a ton of people in the forums that check those topics.

It seems like the view count increments every time a topic is viewed. View this topic, click the "Off Topic" link, view it again, then click "Off Topic" again. You'll noticed it has increased. Unless two other managed to view in that small space of time when I did this .
