Hi y'all, can you help me?
I'm working on a level and I do not know
what to do else to kill the player, yes, KILL the player.
He doesn't die!
Well, I've made a laser with CEs. For a laser that goes in one
direction I used two CEs: One CE that moves in the specific direction
and a second that shows via graphic how the laser hits something, you understand?
And now here's the problem: There is no function of the CE which allows to
kill the player when the laser hits the player because the CE changes in exactly the moment when it hits the player, so you cannot use the actions
"kill when hit player", "kill when touching" (I dunno the reason) and "kill when colliding with" because the element that represents the hitting laser doesn't move at all, so the player cannot collide with it.
I don't know what to do, can anyone help me?
Thanks

okay, now i've got it, but i don't think that it would have worked with your method, sorry, but the element changes to its hitting graphic when it hits something, so the priority of the 1st page was higher.
I actually think in one of the next rnd versions there should be a scale to edit the priority of the change pages. but that belongs to new ideas...
Nevertheless, thanks!

Of course, sorry, I forgot.
I made the hitting elements move in the specific direction so that
I could set "deadly when colliding with".
At the end it was easy, I was on the edge and I tried
anything until it worked.

By the way the level I needed the CEs for is now available here.

That for the second page was only if you wanted the player to die when running into the CE.Sascha wrote:okay, now i've got it, but i don't think that it would have worked with your method, sorry, but the element changes to its hitting graphic when it hits something, so the priority of the 1st page was higher.

And it was a pleasure to help you

I love RnD and I'd prefer it from much "nice" games.
