Well, I definitely think that the current player graphics are nice, about like the quality of the graphics of the other elements. And they fit together nicely. And we're used to them that way.
I couldn't say whether or not the graphics should be changed unless I saw the new graphics. Personally, I can't imagine any better player graphics than the current ones that would fit.

The H. World levelset can be downloaded from http://www.bd-fans.com/RnD.html -- search The H. World on that page.
In Rocks 'n' Diamonds 3.2.0, you will be able to choose the artwork of the player to match any other element. So you could set the player artwork to be a spaceship.Francesco wrote:It would be nice if you could use different kinds of player, like an animal or a robot/machine.
The disadvantage is that then the player makes spaceship noise all the time. The solution is to tell the player to use the artwork of a custom element that uses only the graphic of a spaceship.

Nice to hear that the option to switch between player graphics will be available in version 3.2.0! And some extra player graphics would be nice. But only additional graphics and NOT replaced graphics. What most people forget is that the power of the game lies in its classicness. If you take away the nostalgic (yes, RnD has nearly become a legend...) elements from a game and modernise it, the game will become worthless. It's just what people are used to.
