I am using setup.conf (in folder "conf", in the application's folder) to change the icon displayed at the top left of R'n'D's window, e.g.
program_icon_file: iconRed20260129.png
I couldn't see a setting in setup.conf for the icon that displays on the task bar (in Windows).
I tried just dropping in a file I found in RnDJue puzznic,
\graphics\icon_large.png
But this didn't have any effect on the icon that displays on the task bar, or have any noticeable effect at all.
Does anyone know how to change the icon that displays on the task bar?

Re: change the icon that displays on the task bar
Simply put: this feature seems to be very raw and non dynamic. I actually included icons of my own in my Reflektor work, except as just "icon.png". The thing is, it only changes the icon on the taskbar if:
1) the game loads specifially with the levelset loaded last,
2) the game isn't locked to the taskbar.
The second rule doestapply to window's top left icon though, only that it loads when the levelset is loaded prematurely.
In fact, a while ago I reported a bug which makes no icon appear if the game is first loaded in fullscreen.

Thanks Onyx Guy,
Please could you explain further what you mean by:
"the game loads specifially with the levelset loaded last"
(I thought this always happened that the game starts pointing at the last-played or last-edited levelset)
and by:
"The second rule doestapply to window's top left icon though, only that it loads when the levelset is loaded prematurely."
Thanks very much,
John

Re: change the icon that displays on the task bar
(my bad about all those typos, I was kind of rushing it)
Well, it seems to only update the icons specifically when graphicset that includes a custom taskbar icon (...\icon\icon.png in my case) is loaded first as you open the game. If you switch between levelsets, then next levelsets loaded will just keep the first icon loaded no matter what. To make another levelset actually load the icon you need to select that levelset, close the program and open it again (in windowed mode, that is) so it persists as "last_level_series" (or last loaded levelset).
Also are you specifically trying to name the file "icon_large.png" as in R'n'D Jue? I genuinely never checked how it stores icons, but I first found out about the custom icons when looking into "gfx_classic" (R'n'D's vanilla graphics), as it also includes the little PNG graphic as it's icon (...\graphics\gfx_classic\icons\icon.png)
