Custom Movement patterns for Custom Elements

Post by Custom Element 12 »

If the custom elements can move in just up, down, left, right, and those other, away from player, towards player, etc. Why not have them move in a recorded fashon???

P.S. I am really Custom Element 11, just had a fouled-up Registration

I think he means something like "left 2, down 1, right 4, up 3..."; i.e. a programmed series of movments. That would probably be hell to code...

True. So probably it won't ever be applied.
But you can already do such things by using more CEs.

You would need a reasonable way to enter the movement pattern of your CE. Think about that to estimate the needed programming effort, and to think if it's worth it...

You can create a path using two kind of CEs : the ones are blocking (B) your "beast" and the others let it pass (P). You should the configure the "beast", saying that it can dig the (P) and also leave it behind. And both (B) and (P) would use the empty field picture (or even another one ?)
