It's like background, whatever you can walk on and CEs can move on.
Not like those you kept seeing 1 background each time, like you can edit the background in the level-editor.
But I see back colour around the element weither CE or not, so maybe you can get this fixed?

I'm not sure it I understand you right.

I suppose you wanted to suggest background elements that behave like normal, empty, black background tiles. Yes, this is a nice idea for the (not so near) future.

maybe it's the transparency of the element or what?
coding? it's should be really simple

When it's only decorative background, it would probably be relatively easy.

But then, it would be an additional editing layer in the level editor, and an additional "playfield" in level files and in the game engine, so maybe it's not that easy...

Background only is okay for me... and there are quite alot of empty spaces
