Unsolvable levels
Moderators: Flumminator, Zomis
DX-Boulderdash-Achim Härtel-level 9 is not possible.
I am currently not able to do it, but maybe we can create a database of unsolvable levels. Everyone can add a level or so.

I'd like some confirmation on Arno Luppold, 28 'cause I suck with amoeba, but I think it grows too fast for you to win.
Also, Ben 200 level 87 is impossible, as dragon breath doesn't produce gems when killing butterflies... did it use to be this way in an earlier version and somehow not get preserved in backwards compatability?

If you want to check things in older versions, check version 2.0.0 (oldest I could find)

EMC_More, Junior Mines, Level 35 (it's an incompatability... you'll have no idea what I'm talking about unless you actually play the level, but when the yam explodes the bug, the bug explodes into diamonds, and there's no more yam to continue the chain. Seems like in EM, bugs don't change into gems when they explode off a yam. Either that or the bug gets out of the way faster. *shrug*)
> *poink* This isn't for bug reporting, it's for reference.
Yup, I also think so! And I thank you (and all others) a lot for reporting such things, even if it may look like I would ignore them (which I do not). All these reports will be very useful to check the upcoming new EM engine (which is not even started yet, but will be soon).

> Bond Mine 13, level 3 (8 emeralds short)
Interesting... So does that mean that some elements that count as emeralds can't be reached or are destroyed?
I've just had a look at that level:
- 176 emeralds are needed to solve that level;
that are:
- 59 emeralds
- 2 diamonds (counting each as 3 emeralds)
- 58 nuts that can be cracked
- 1 bug (containing 8 emeralds and 1 diamond)
- 5 yamyams which either contain 8 emeralds or 9 nuts, resulting in 3*8 and 2*9 emeralds
This gives a total of 59 + 2*3 + 58 + 8+3 + 3*8 + 2*9 == exactly 176 emeralds.
I suppose that some engine incompatibility causes destroyed/unreachable/etc. emeralds.
If you have an idea at which part of the levels these emeralds are gone, I can use this to test the upcoming new EM engine (which I'm just working on, btw).

The lacking 8 emeralds are in the 5th YamYam (in right-bottom part of the board), which cannot (and I don't think it was supposed to anyway) be smashed. So, if you got the number of emeralds from that calculations, it's only virtual, not factual. And AFAIR it's not the first level with that problem in EMC pack...
