About
-----

Fatrock was my first ever PC game, and uses DirectX 3 (if i recall). It's a standard boulderdash affair, with 3 included maps. If you look in the maps\ dir, there's instructions on making your own maps.

Rules are as follows: Rocks fall down unless either you, a wall, or some earth support them. Rocks will fall off other rocks and diamonds firstly to the left, then to the right if unable to fall left. Monsters follow the left hand wall (i think). You die in contact with monsters, or if a rock falls on you. You need to collect all diamonds to get to the exit and advance to the next level.

Issues
------

Uses standard Windows input, and thus controls are governed by key repeat delays etc. Which is pants, quite frankly, and I apologise.

The standard speed incompatibilites are also present, in that faster machines make the game run faster. Whuch is also pants. I'll use the timer from now on, honest :)

If it fails to run
------------------

Do you have DirectX 3 or later?
Is there a maps directory in the same dir as the exe?
Are there any maps in the maps dir?
Is there a 1.map?

If you've checked all the above, and re-downloaded to make sure you have all the maps, and it still fails to run - then it's not going to work. I've tested this on loads of machines, and as long as the above is in place, it will run :P
