CSS Shock!

Surfing around I've found a site that almost shocked me!

This website is all about the things that can be done using plain CSS (no scripts) over an Html page.

http://www.cssplay.co.uk

A lot of these things are freely usable without asking for the author's permission - but others aren't, so take a look at the bottom-right corner of the screen on each page to see if the permission is required.

Some of the most noticeable things:

A thumbnail gallery with preview and enlarged images:
http://www.cssplay.co.uk/menu/hover_click.html

A really light method for interactive animations:
http://www.cssplay.co.uk/menu/animation.html

A menu that kicks away my low-knowledge-menu!
http://www.cssplay.co.uk/menus/dd_valid.html

The above links are just some... enjoy surfing!

Another noticeable thing: most of these things work on IE! Opacity effects too!
It requires some browser-sniffing and differentiated code - but anyway! Fantastic!

Gee WOW!!!
I know much interesting CSS sites (ALA, CSSZenGarden, TJKDesign, WASP, ...), but this one is just... awesome! Very interesting use of CSS!
People that aren't webdesigners may not see how difficult is it to create something like that, but well... have you seen anything like it before? :)

No JavaScript used, it's purely CSS!

Hmmm... I see an area with some tiles, and when I move the mouse into this area, it always says "OOPS...". :-(

Tried with Mozilla and Konqueror.

Seems that my browsers do something wrong... :-(

Eheheh, not at all, Holger!

You will be really surprised when you'll try that again, after reading the "information" at the bottom of that page, just below the ads...

And, Tomi, I agree, it's insane!

I won't tell more just to avoid quitting the surprise to the Boss ;)

Addon: if you have _some_ time to waste, take a look to the following too:

This one makes me feel at home!

This one a little less ;)
http://www.cssplay.co.uk/menu/crossing.html

Finally, if you still want to lose your sleep, here is the definitive hit:

Oops... I just saw the ads at the bottom of my browser window and did not expect anything useful below them...

Very cool stuff -- well done! :-o :-)
