Photomap 2

Check this out!
http://www.zomis.net/rnd/download.php?id=380
Uses a 256 colour palette (PM1 used 16 colours greyscale)
Near perfect photo quality mini-maps (if you squint your eyes

)
Uses all 256 CEs, but it only uses their "PREVIEW" graphics, so it doesn't effect their own. This means you can have full colour photographs in between levels without any overhead.
BMP to level converter supplied, and 167 photomaps (mostly super-babes, but nothing too risque)
Have fun!

WOW!!! This is VERY cool! :-o (And I already liked the b/w Photomap 1...)
In fact, I also had this idea for a long time (including the converter from usual graphics files to R'n'D levels), but never brought it to life -- now you did it better than I could have done it (including the demo material :-) )!

;-)
P.S.: Now I know how I can release my New Zealand photos!!! :-D

There's an optical illusion on the second Pam Anderson image,
after it's scrolled around (about 6 times), look at the top left....
you can actually see she's wearing roller skates
The King Crimson image is funny (for me), after my dad found out that
I liked the same music he did (bless him), he painted that image on my
entire bedroom wall!! (I was 15 at the time), I came back from school
and it was something like:
"hey dad, what's this?"
"It's the Court of the Crimson King cover, cool isn't it?" he said
"yeah"
nightmares proceeded........ true story

wow, great work! But I see question marks when I open the levels in the level editor. Is that by intention?

Yes, only the "PREVIEW" graphics are defined, but not the normal and "EDITOR" graphics...

OK, here they are:

(And yes, I was feeling perverted and guilty when scaling these great photos down to 64 pixel width... :-o ;-) )

Well, I can't see much of them... the levels contain question marks in the previews as well as in the editor.

The level set refers to the graphics set "Photomap2", which you should have installed and accessible by R'n'D under exactly that name. If you can't get it to work, just copy the "graphics" folder from the "Photomap2" set to my set.
The question marks in the editor are OK; as mentioned, there are ONLY graphic definitions for the "PREVIEW" graphics, but not for the normal (in-game) nor "EDITOR" graphic definitions.

I'm sorry! Had to copy the graphics, yes, of course!

OK, here they are:
Cool, but pm2 doesn't do them justice...
Bungee jumping and skydiving, no thank you!

I like my feet firmly on the ground.

Yeah, right... :-)
I'll make a nice "best of" collection online soon. :)

About Bungee jumping: I also skipped that. ;-)
But skydiving is really a great experience -- when remembering it, I still think "Wow!"... :-)
Oops, we're getting slightly off-topic...

I couldn't say which is worse! Both rely on "gadgets" to save your life...sod that. Anyway, I get vertigo looking out my window!

I have to agree. It's odd the mental picture you form about somebody isn't it? It's never the same.
Now the illusive pimpernel is unmasked!
