Anyone know of a reason why RnD won't come up on a windows XP
system?

Check what stdout.txt and stderr.txt says, they can be found in the Rocks'n'Diamonds directory (named "rocksndiamonds-3.1.0")

Have you already inserted any levelsets ? If yes, they might be in the wrong directory, or something else. Check it... extract rocksndiamonds and start. If it works than, we would also know a bit more.
