Wasn't it the program CrossDOS?

If it's a DD (720K) floppy, you need a CrossDOS for reading it. The device is PC0:
If it's a HD (1440K) floppy, you'll also need a HD floppy drive.

Instead of using CrossDOS, you can also use Kickstart 2.0 / Workbench 2.0 or above, which has this functionality already built in.

Ah, Holger was right, however it might be the fact that i moved the file long ago so it would work, and on that note it can be known as either xdos or crossdos

I wanted to tell a friend how to do it himself but i just couldnt remember how or what, so thanks :-p
