Got a cool idea that should be in R'n'D? Let's hear it!

Supaplex Ending Message

Post by SLAPPYHAPPY2000 »

If you die in the original Supaplex, it says:
"Hard luck! You have collected X out of Y infotrons needed. Why not give it another try?"
And if you die when collecting all of the infotrons, it says:
"Hard luck! You completed all of the necessary infotrons, but failed to reach the exit. Why not give it another try?"
Would it be possible to implement this in the Supaplex engine? If so, I think it would be a great addition.

Yes, this is a good idea. Probably it should not be done engine-specific (that is, only for the Supaplex engine), but in a more generic way. Maybe this could even be connected to global animations, a a trigger event (or several events, depending on the conditions you already mentioned, like partially fulfilled tasks).

Very specific output like "You have collected X out of Y infotrons needed" could then be a problem, though...
