In SDL version would it be good having key shortcut for switching between fullscreen, and windowed view.

And well, I agree that this would be very nice

It's a shame that Alt+Return (the "classic" shortcut for switching fullscreen in games) doesn't work. I suggest that shortcut to be implemented.

Is this really a "classic shortcut"? Never knew this...
But it should not be too hard to implement this...

Well, at least it's the most used shortcut for Windows-based programs. At least in those games I've played...

My thought exactly (but I was too sleepy yesterday to post it ;-).
I only know F (in mplayer) and some function key (don't remember which one) in some games. I never play games in fullscreen, so I don't need to remember it. ;-)

Enigma and
Kobo Deluxe are 2 open-source (and I think also SDL-based) games I know that recognize Alt+Return.
Trackballs also does, but apparently only in the settings-screen, where it's somhow unnecessary...

.
classic shortcut in windows - switches command prompt to fullscreen

but standards, and consistency are good

after some investigations in docs (linux): Alt+Return (dosbox, enigma, castle-combat, crimson-fields, heroes, maelstrom, skobo, penguin-command), Ctrl+f (lbreakout2), Alt+f (battle of wesnoth, expired), Alt+Ctrl+f (xdosemu), F1 (bomber instinct). F2 (pathological), F4 (mures), F10 (jump'n'bump, gav), F11 (fillets-ng, gnome, firefox), F12 (luola), Ctrl+Shift+f (konqueror), Ctrl+L (acroread), Alt+Shift+Enter (d1x)
Win+c - my shortcut in sawfish

of course fullcsreen switching for 'normal' apps not means the same that for typical games (changing resolution, disabling window management, etc)

Sounds like R'n'D can't stand back here, so I should add something like that, too... ;-)

Nearly forgot about this!
Just added that "Alt + Enter" fullscreen thingie ("Alt + Keypad Enter" also works, which is even some milliseconds faster to type ;-) ).
Works at any time, even while playing.
Will be available in 3.2.1, which will be released very soon.
