Hello everybody!

How about making an alternative music set? The current classic set is ok, but some tunes have a low quality.

If everyone knows about tunes which FIT IN RND, please post them here!

I found this one, which may be the same style as the others:

Hey, that's a really nice tune -- I really like it!

All in all, those MODs are far better suited for background music than the existing "classic" sound loops, I think. Currently, they are mainly there for the non-SDL versions which cannot play MOD, MIDI and MP3...

But maybe there could be separate music packages in the future.

yes, I know what you German like! ;-)

Can't you build in the music/sound conversion code you wrote yourself for the UNIX version in the Windows version?

And:

Here is a second one, which fits in rnd, in my opinion:

See below. ;-)

But the Windows version already supports all kind of MOD, MIDI and MP3 music! It's only the "plain" Unix/X11 (non-SDL) version and the DOS version that can only play WAV files. But I think the day is near where the SDL version will be the "standard" version, and where the WAV music loops in the base package will be replaced by MOD music files (which will even be smaller).

I prefer the previous one. :-)

And on that day the original supaplex sounds are supported (I mean the ones I gave you which are better converted)? I hope so! It gives the classic feeling and it sounds better!

Yes, I try to get the improved sounds already into the next version!

and maybe a better support of the original supaplex song? It isn't supported very well either (though it's not very disturbing).

OK, a new update!

I will throw out the second song. Now I only upload songs which I have tested IN rnd first to have the whole game feeling with the song.
Here is the new one: http://www.zomis.net/rnd/download.php?id=300

Now we have got 2 files:

Senergy
Magnetic

How about throwing away the low-quality and very repeating wave files and replacing them by the songs we are collecting here?
