I made a new version of "Spell Machine": Version Japanese, with
the full Hiragana alphabet (including Dakuon, for those who know).
Try it, play a little with the japanese letters.
There's also a full Hiragana table inside the level.
Have Fun!

BTW: From any reason the envelopes are alway reset to a wrong height and width, I wonder if this is a bug...

EDIT: Oops, I forgot the hyperlink:

HINT: Snap a character to listen to its sound without playing the whole row!

Wow! This is really cool! Writing Japanese letters and let the game speak out the words for you! :-D

Great idea and nicely done! (I only have some problems with the speed the letters change; an additional +/- CE switch to change the speed would be a nice enhancement for beginners. :-) )

Do you also plan to create a second level to write/spell Katakana? :-)
(This was which I tried to learn when I was in Japan last year... :) )

Thank you! Maybe you've seen my first version with that you can spell our usual letters, but the Japanese Version is much more interesting, I guess.

Well, Hiragana and Katakana are in fact almost the same: Katakana is only another alphabet that contains the same syllables as Hiragana. Katakana is mostly used for foreign languages.
One thing I could do would be adding a katakana table to the hiragana (well, better as a .jpg picture, integrating everything into R'n'D would be rather laborious...).

I must confess that the scrolling is really very fast. I think it would have been better if I used the "when switched"-function instead of "when pressed" within the letter-costum-elements.
But this could be readjusted.
