Rocks'n'Diamonds

I am stuck at level 15 (Rock & Diamonds for linux). This is the introduction to the pac man enemies.
I can not for the life of me get the shell to break and able to get that green gem. I keep getting two rocks that cover it.

Ah, I see... well, this was kinda tricky actually but:
When standing between the entrance (between the steel walls), walk 2 steps up, push rock right. Take diamond, now stand below the right rock over the emerald, dig the sand to the left, move right down left, snap the emerald and move out.

thanks! got it. I used the rock to kill the pac man, was the only way I could do it, and with your help of course

I don't see any reason for killing any of the pac mans in that level...

I don't know how to get the gem and not get trapped. I can't push the rock down, it'd trap my path, so I simply smash it with the pac man, and they both disappear.

Ah, maybe you don't know about the big secret of snapping. Snapping is a way to take something from a nearby spot without actually moving there. The default key for snapping is hold down left ctrl + press direction key.
Ok, I'll show what I was thinking in a clearer way:





Entrance






Two steps up, push right






Take diamond and move to next position






Snap left






Move right, down, left






Snap left

That's how you solve the level without the need of killing any pacmans!
Of course, killing pacmans could work too...
