Nameless Puzzle

Post by Nathan H. »

36 gems needed

This was made by making something impossible and editing it little bits until it was possible.

I'll change the topic title if someone comes up with a good name.
Have fun!

I'd call the puzzle "Nameless level" instead =)
I've made a .level file for it: http://www.zomis.net/rnd/download.php?id=719

I gotta say that it's extremely hard. I probably won't be the first one to solve it.

I really wonder where the dynamites should be blown up. I thought I needed one to get the emerald in the upper left, but then I also need one to make it back to the top-right section and I also need one to blow the wall to the 8 emeralds on the left.

If another player was in this level, I'd sacrifice him to get 9 extra emeralds =)

(Spoiler, click 'quote')

This puzzle can actually be broken into 3 smaller puzzles: the upper left room, the upper right room and the lower part. They are not related.

Now I've forgotten how to do this one...

And I think it *might* have depended partially on random, which is obviously not ideal for a puzzle.

Oh, I miss the puzzles. Time to dig out some old posts ;)

This one is pretty hard, but very much solvable. And I think it doesn't depend on randomness. What it does take, however, is a lot of courage and good timing to run between falling rocks.

If you want to take a look at my solution, here it is (together with the .level file for completeness)

With my usual stop-time techniques, this is not only solvable but you can conserve a dynamite to blow up the exit on your way out :)
