[GFX] Different screen

Post by Eizzoux »

Just another little visual changing set changing viewport and interface to the style of tape recorder. Or something like that.
Additions:
  • Many panel elements including white keys counter, dynabombs count and size, dynabomb power, sokoban fields, penguins and lamps counters, shield, magic wall, magnifier and lenses timer, health meter, last droppable element collected (last inventory object), gravity, open exit, level number, level name and level author;
  • Very simple envelope style with classic NES font.
Yeah, that could be better named like "Too much stuff on my face screen", but whatever.

Oh, sorry, I think I forgot about them. Can't edit the main post itself because I'm late (freakin' 13 minutes, wow)

Wow!

I'm kind of amazed there is that much state to display...

... even more amazed that the game/graphics engine allows it all to be displayed under level/graphics designer's control!

In the level & author's name area, is it possible to also display levelset name & level number? e.g.:

Levelset: 'blah blah'
Level: 012 'nameless level' by 'vladi'

Level number is already displayed, but I placed it in the top space above the exit, and yeah, I agree, I need to move it down there.
But, sadly, Holger didn't implement levelset name for game panel. But... I don't think it's that necessary.
But I'll update it for moving the level number.
UPD: Updated.

I've often been annoyed at the lack of levelset name; but I guess that is mostly on the main menu screen, not the live level-in-play screen.

Looks like there's no facility to display it on the main menu either?

By default, the levelset name is displayed above the level preview on the main screen.

Or do you mean something different?

Just use "main.text.level_info_1" to change its position on the main screen (or to hide it from there).
