Webcams

Post by Alan »

Do you have a webcam near you?

I don't mean your own personal webcam, but one that is near your location (looking at a near tourist attraction or something).

If you find one then link the jpg, like I have done.... so you get a realtime update.

This webcam is from some guy at the bottom of my street (I dont know him), and is pointing at the view I see from my living room window. It's pretty fast and updates every second....

It's looking at the River Mersey... so it's usually boats, but at least you see my weather... in real time :D

Here are three cams of Bielefeld (my home town):

It's a few kilometers away, nearer to the city center. The third one is placed on the little castle tower which can be seen on the second one, as you might have guessed.

I agree that it's not the nicest city possible. ;-) (I haven't found web cams in the Old Town, which is a bit nicer...)

Looks a nice place at night!

And I noticed you have had some nice weather recently... as opposed to my grim webcam.

Translation for Polish from whatever site hit the top of google: In order to start up camera have musiesz (AXIS blah blah blah I didn't copy this part).

My guess is you need to have the ActiveX control.

Yes, that's the case. It works fine in my FireFox withouth any special soft (java and flash are installed, though). BTW, it refreshes every second :-)

The city Strömstad where I've grown up for the first 16 years of my life, and now worked in the last 5 weeks:

I like that city a lot better than Uddevalla where I live now :)

The webcam nearest to where I live is in Saarbrücken, Germany (yes, I live in France, but near from Germany ;-))
