Hi,
I want to add a option "-rndfa", so once you can browse through Zomis File-Archiv in the levelset selection.
To do so, I need the possibility to add a levelset in runtime.
@Holger: What must be changed in code?

What do you think about this idea?

Good idea. Let me know if you want me to do any specific RnDFA changes, so that it's formatted in a way that could easily be read directly by your RnD modification.

Hi, it's a birthday week...
just upload rndTest325-tc2.zip
Some BD-Levels included from various author's.

RndTest is now with native loader for BD-level-files.
Support Atari and BD64 files in nibble format.

I only add about 1800 levels...(more than 10000 level's avail)

It's not perfect at the moment..
Amoeba and SlimePermability have to be adjusted.
I tested some levels, but I don't know how to handle this.
Need help from Holger.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Have fun!

If someone can made some nostalgic graphic's for BD levels,
this would be great.

*edit*
Scrambled and packed format are not yet supported, so some of
the levels seems blank.

Please notice, that tapes can be broken in future version's, cause of the adjustment to attribute values like amoeba speed.

Got some problem.

I unpacked RnD324 in a folder, then I added the content of rndTest325-tc2. Launching rndTest.exe I get this:

Code: Select all

rndTest.exe: warning: cannot open configuration file 'C:\Documenti\R'n'D jue\setup.conf'
rndTest.exe: warning: using default setup values
rndTest.exe: warning: cannot open configuration file 'C:\Documenti\R'n'D jue\cache\artworkinfo.cache'
rndTest.exe: warning: cannot find any valid artwork in directory 'C:\Documenti\R'n'D jue\graphics'
rndTest.exe: warning: cannot find any valid artwork in directory 'C:\Documenti\R'n'D jue\sounds'
rndTest.exe: warning: cannot find any valid artwork in directory 'C:\Documenti\R'n'D jue\music'
rndTest.exe: warning: SDLSetWindowIcon(): cannot find file 'rocks_icon_32x32.pcx'
rndTest.exe: LoadCustomImage(): cannot find file 'RocksFontSmall.pcx'
rndTest.exe: aborting
I did not install Jue's RnD.

The regular rocksndiamonds.exe works as expected.

I am about to try the same tc2 version on a 323 installation... just done. I get some error about the SDL - a SDL_putenv which cannot be found in the library shipped with 323.

OK, I think I got it. rndTest325 needs Jue's RnD325. But for the moment, that package is too huge for me. I'll check that out later.
Anyway, by the way, have fun!

Just upload rndTest325-tc3.zip.

This release can handle both versions "R'n'D jue" and the normal
"Rocks'n'Diamonds" version.

"rndTest_jue0.exe" handle the "R'n'D jue" version.

Unzip it to a RnD324 folder.
Copy "rndTest_jue0.exe" to "rndTest.exe" and voila
the normal version is supported.

The pattern is clear

Btw. There is "RocksCE.pcx" missing, using "fallback.pcx" instead.
Seems like rnd3.2.5 use some new .pcx files for CE, GE.

Have Fun!

Oh, I wish I read this reply before... I downloaded Jue's RnD, but in any case it is really worth the waiting - I started lerning to play Sobigo, quite challenging and fun.

So now it's all right. I tried your rndTest - by the way, thank you for the credits! I'll have to update the documentation, to keep the pace and keep on deserving the mention in the title screens ;-)

I still have to try some options, but I'm sure it will be a good job as usual.
Anyway, by the way, have fun!

Hi,
I just upload "rndTest325-tc6" (Christmas-Edition)

This edition can download from Zomis-Filearchiv within the normal
menue.

Start it with (or make a shortcut):
> rndTest_jue0 -urlbase=rndfalist:

(Don't forget the doublepoint at the end)

A new main group "rndfa" is added, where now you can browse through
the filearchiv.

If you choose a entry the file is downloaded..
and you can test/play the level or levelset.
(Only if it is a "xxx.level" or a ".zip"/".7z" file (zip must include a valid levelinfo.conf) (other compressed files are not supported)

Please check it out and test it.
Any suggestions, ideas, help, questions or response welcome.
Even bug reports...

If you leave the programm and you choose the levelset again (which is
already downloaded) the files are taken from the created directory.

Have fun!

Btw:
I have tested loading levelsets and levels, but...
the loading in RnD is designed for "load all available levelsets" at beginning, so it's a tricky thing to load it on runtime, please report
any bugs here.

Hi,
I just upload "rndTest325-tc7" (NewYear-Edition)
Develop on this is in progress!

This edition have a BDCFF configurable native loader.File "bdcff.conf".
So RND have a common readable fileformat,
because you can set each RND element as item!

Some levels of DX-Boulderdash01 included.
This are not really playable, cause of RND have no "DX effects" and no real "BD" engine.

Have Fun.

Hi,
I just upload "rndTest325-tc8"

This edition can download from Zomis-Filearchiv within the normal
menue.

Special thanks to Zomis, who made some special php-scripts for easy select "all" or "levels" or "group".

Load "all" entries:
> rndTest_jue0 -urlbase=rndfalist0:

Load "level" entries:
> rndTest_jue0 -urlbase=rndfalist1:

Load "group" entries:
> rndTest_jue0 -urlbase=rndfalist2:

(Don't forget the doublepoint at the end)

Btw: The real url in defined in "zurl.conf"

Added a special setup entry, so mousemode can be set in game!
(this value is not saved anywhere).

Have fun!

Hi, I upload "rndTest325-tc9.zip" here:

http://www.zomis.net/rnd/download.php?id=421

No new features! Only tidy up the source.
(Ok, the newest "bdcff.conf" is included too.)

And I upload the source with a "ready for use" workspace, (just set one new drive subst) - for VISUAL-C 6.0 here:

http://www.zomis.net/rnd/download.php?id=514

It's also compileable on MinGW and
should be compileable on Unix (with a small change in a Makefile).

For feature list see "hag_readme.txt".
Hm, have to update my website...

Have fun!
