Copy the tape (039.tape file) to .rocksndiamonds/tapes/classic_emerald_mine/ directory in your home (if you don't know how to access it, try ~/.rocksndiamonds/tapes/classic_emerald_mine/) and then play it from the tape player (lower right corner of your RnD window). Beware that copying the tape will overwrite your own tape (if you saved any).

Martijn's tape doesn't work here either. With which version have you recorded it?

But the level is solvable, you've got about a minute to collect the 22 emeralds and then run to the exit in the bottom left corner.

This tape works (at least for me) in 3.1.0: http://semisane.de/rnd/tapes/classic_em ... e/039.tape

I think (judging from another post by Martijn) that he still uses 3.0.8.

Anyhow, should you need any further tapes, you can always check my tapes archive at http://rnd.roger4.net :-)

Probably it only works on your PC, because... see below. ;-)

Let's just check it:

shell> ./rocksndiamonds --execute "dump tape 039.tape" | head -5
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tape of Level 039 (file version 02000000, game version 03020001)
(effective engine version 03020001)
Level series identifier: 'classic_emerald_mine'
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
shell>

So he used the current pre-release 3.2.0-rc1 (and probably the native EM engine and levels), which explains why it didn't work anywhere else.

Please always use release versions for creating tapes. :-)
