Using self created gif files from screenshot.

Post by balinek »

Hello. I took a screenshot of two artwork elements from R'n'D program (rs_jue0 and BD2K3) and divided/splited this image to lot of single gif files and gave them names 000.gif and so on. I would like to use them in my "replacement" script as additional sets of elements, but I am not sure if I am allowed/permited to use them.
How is it?

Hello balinek!

I'm not sure what exactly is your intention -- what exactly do you want to do, and for what are you asking for permission precisely? :-)

Do you want to create a new level or artwork set for Rocks'n'Diamonds, using existing element graphics?

Or do you want to use these graphics in a different game project of your own?

Hello Holger.
I gave link to my script in my signature and it contains only classic elements. I would like to add more elements. Can I ?. This is what I wanted to ask.

Yes, I have noticed the link, and downloaded (and looked at) the tar archive.
I would like to add more elements. Can I ?
For your personal pleasure, you can add as many elements (from whatever non-classic sets) as you want, of course.

However, the interesting part comes with the question what you plan to do with the resulting images... :-)

Thank You very much. Your answer is like salvation for me. I don't know what I will do next. Maybe way is essential - not aim. Really I would like to change artwork between different elements in my 'replacement' script, of course as You said it's only for my pleasure. ;)
