A couple of questions about the first Zelda level

Hi.
Using the speed change and the res-n- diamonds program to play full screen, I'm trying out Allan Bond's first Zelda level again.
I was just wondering though if there's a way to get it to restore properly. I'm using the latest version of rnd, but for some reason, the game never seems to restore correctly. It's fine if I just go to the main menue and restore from there or restore post death, but if I quit the game and restart again, I just get link standing on a black screen and nothing seems to happen.
I tried installing the update version from Martijn's rnd page, but that just caused rnd tocrash completely when trying to load the level.
Any advice would be appreciated.
