I found EMC levelsets from which you might select graphics (artwork) you can play with, but there's no effect after choosing them: e.g. Amiga Mine 2 or Ami Dasher (they set default R'n'D theme, although they have their own artwork).

Yes, these are most probably those "title screen only" artwork sets, as described here.
