The "automatically count gems needed" option does not count right

It regards diamonds (worth 3 gems) as worth 1 gem, completely ignores nuts, pearls, crystals, and infotrons; and there is no option to count gems inside of walls.

This option was more or less only working correctly for Mirror Magic style levels (where it came from), but I've added all those elements now which also count as "gems" in other engines (including walls containing gems).
