Hello, and welcome to the forum phoniex28, if I may be so bold!

I run RnD on a laptop with Windows Vista too, and it runs fine for me. Which levels does it crash for? I occassionally get random crashes with BD2K3.

There is a known error with the Level Editor in that if you use the arrow keys to scroll, RnD will crash. I don't think this was fixed in 3.2.6.

Off-topic, but if you wanted, you can use a program like WinUAE to run old Amiga programs on your laptop!

Hi, thx davacardo... but already tried WinUAE, it can play most games.. but not all like EM2 (i think it's the configuration, but i get the GURU meditation error in most EM images or adf files! LOL)

But in RnD I get errors with tutorials and EM classic levels...lastly i configured the nvidia card to disable vsync in windows and...no errors so far!
I tried this option because i see the vsync is disabled by default in xp and you can see the "lag" between frames
I'll get you updated :P

EDIT: before i was already using WASD keys combinations but the error was still there

Hmm, I'll have to check out the vsync on my computer then and see if it happens for me.

The configuration I use for EM-type disks on WinUAE was very specific. Unfortunately, I can't get it working right now, but I'll keep trying. Guru Mediation errors are usually because of wrong emulated hardware. Also is when disks just stop loading - that usually also means wrong emulated hardware.

You're right! Telling the nVidia graphics card on Vista to use vsync does cause RnD to crash randomly!

EDIT:
I'm afraid I have to correct my original statement - RnD 3.2.4 and RnD jue 3.2.5 never gave me any such issues. I have actually not played 3.2.6.0 since installing it. However, RnD 3.2.6.0 crashes at the same spot every time in the level I'm testing with - Aaron Davidson's Tutorial Level 1 (Bare Bones). At the start, if you head right and collect all the emeralds, then go left and collect the 3 emeralds near the diamond, it will crash picking up the third emerald. Even if the graphics card is set to disable vsync, or the defaults (as it was before I changed them).

phoniex28, did you change any other settings for the graphics card?
Anyone else have any ideas?

lol davacardo... me too... i think it was a "lucky day" :D
it continues to crash...i didnt tried the 3.24 ... only the 3.26... where i can find the old version???
I also updated drivers... still errors... i think it s an aero bug or video driver related... because i installed XP on the same laptop, and it just plays well, but with the vsync lag... (i noticed that i must set the win98 compatibility or it will not even start!!) in vista starts without compat but crashes...

it's the same position of my crash... in vista
I enabled the VSYNC in xp and no crashes so far(also in the tutorial level)!
Can be not updated SDL library? i'll try to search updated version to overwrite sdl included with the game...
