Got a cool idea that should be in R'n'D? Let's hear it!

dig option

Post by Sascha »

Hi!
I think at the CE change actions there should
be more elements which the element can dig. Not one only!
I think so:
It should be like the change pages.
dig page: [1] [New] [delete]

The CEs would be better (well, I need this option for my new set!!).

I don't know, maybe this will be already in 3.2.0?

Just use a group element (GE) and add all those elements to the GE which should be diggable by that CE. (If you need more elements than you can add to the GE, just recursively add further GEs to the GE etc., until you have a final GE that represents all elements that you want to be diggable!)

I think that different elements that can be dug should be able to change these elements into different elements depending on the element being dug:

Examble:
 can always leave behind dirt
 can dig dirt
 can dig closed exit and change it to open exit
 can dig dead amoeba and change it to normal wall

I don't think that I really would use this, but it's another feature.

The H. World levelset can be downloaded from http://www.bd-fans.com/RnD.html -- search The H. World on that page.

Daniel: Great idea, never thought of that... I did thought of the GE thing. I dont know what Sascha needs, but if it's only digging more than 1 thing and not leaving behind, then GE's work fine.
Current project:
Nope.

No, that would not work at my set.
The element that was dug must become to a special
element and another element that can be digged must become another
special element... if you know, what I mean...
But with the GEs it isn't running. :(
