This would be possible, yes (but probably not needed that much, because there are already a lot of R'n'D specific options which are not used in the EMC engine, and which are also not suppressed).

I think you're right that this would be possible, yes. And just with all the other non-EMC features, they would just be not used in the EMC engine, which is probably OK, as those who actively create new levels with the EMC engine probably not only know what they do, but probably also not want some "special" features there, but only the "classic" features... :-)

I do agree here, after thinking about all that again!

In fact, many of these improvements are only logical, as the "classic" elements are more and more just a subset of the more generic CEs, so it's also very easy to add CE-like options also to the standard elements (which even does not make the game engine more complicated, if these new options are really CE-style options!).
