7z and bd support

Post by m&m »

1. I suggest that RND should support 7z except for zip. Holger himself wrote on the website that EMC is available only in 7z archive because in zip archive it would take over 50 mb :)

2. On Martijn's BD Fan Site - BD Classic i noticed that it's possible to download bd files. (Boulder Dash Common File Format). Maybe RND could support them, because soon there will be Boulder Dash engine :)

Currently there is no direct support for either zip or 7z archives by R'n'D itself. At some point in the future, R'n'D may be able to directly access compressed level archives by using the extensions that the forum member HerzAusGold already implemented in his patched version of R'n'D -- you can have a look at this special (unofficial) version at his web site:

About the Boulder Dash Common File Format (BDCFF): Yes, when the new, native BD engine is added to R'n'D (planned for version 3.4.0), there may also be direct support for BDCFF.
