Need a host!

Post by Rockford4ever »

I just created a sounds pack called "Retro", but i want to upload it and I don't know where! I tried to mail it to Martijn, but his mailbox is full (that is what I heared from a "q-mail" thing), and the file is too big for the RnDFA... Anyone an idea where I could possibly host them? I could use some help here! :(

Give it at my email (asiekierka@wp.pl, 2,999 GB), then I host it at my server!

How big is the file?
I noticed that I can increase the maximum upload size to 8MB, so if that's enough for you then you can try the RNDFA again later today (I just have to change a little config file, which I cannot do right now...)

But my Gmail account is far from full! Please contact me via martijnmooij[at]lycos[dot]com on MSN! I will immediately upload your sounds pack to my site, as the RnD page also has a category 'sounds'!

Thanks in advance!

The file is 2.61 MB... I tried doing it in two parts but I don't quite get it, it shows me an error message that I can not upload files bigger than 100000 bytes or so, but the max is twice as much IIRC.
Maybe because I'm a guest. :(
BTW Martijn, what do you mean with "via MSN"? You mean Hotmail, do you?

Yes, it's because you're a guest.
I sent you a PM earlier today with a link where you can upload the file, try that.

I meant MSN Messenger. Or do you use another program, like Skype, ICQ, Yahoo Messenger,...??
That's a good way to send big files with.

My website will get a better contact e-mail address soon, but first I want to have the redesigning and some other stuff done.

In general: If you have new stuff for RnD, just upload it to Zomis' archive (now he has increased the file size). I always check his archive and if there are new files (in the archive or on the forum), I always upload them to my own site (with a readme file that the file originally comes from Zomis' archive, as I made a deal with him).

Please note that if it doesn't do it automatically, rename this file to *.zip
Sorry, I know this topic is kinda old...
But I don't see the soundset on the file archive and nether do I see it on Martijn's site!
Seeming that he didn't download it yet or so, maybe, else he could have putted it up on his site...:?:

Uh Zomis, I think I can't open "Retro Sounds Pack" because the zip. box said...
Cannot open file: it does not appear to be a valid archive.
If you downloaded this file, try downloading the file again.
I tried and tried many times, but instead I pressed Open in the the dialog
but this time, nothing was in there. Any ideas? :?:

*Sigh* Ok, I see... seems like the zip file is corrupt somehow.

I tried, but it says this:
You only have -549002 bytes left.
You tried to upload a file 0 bytes big.

Seems pretty buggy... :( Is that normal?
