Number Teleporter

Post by Zomis »

Just something for all you mathematic RND level maker maniacs out there (which probably only includes me and myself).

http://www.zomis.net/rnd/download.php?id=234

Uses 6 CEs (2 for input, 2 for controlling teleporter, 2 for teleportation),
size is (y(x+2))*(4y) where x is the number of digits (as usual)
and y is the number of teleporting zones (you'll see what I mean when you open the level, I hope.)

Enjoy, please tell me what you think (if you think anything).

I'm not sure what the point is, but maybe you could modify this somehow to compare two numbers and perform different actions based on the comparison (IE greater than, less than, equal). Hmmm... The gt/lt parts would require Holger to add new functionality. But maybe you could program the teleporter to take you to a specific place?

I have made a comparator too, I'll see if I have it somewhere...

And customizing that teleporter to take you to a specific place is very easy to do using CEs.

Okay, I have now checked it and I see no problem with it, maybe you have changed some of the CEs in the level...?

Is there a place where I can upload my own levels that I've made? I want to make a contribution. Is that possible?

BTW: This teleporter stuff is really hard. I tried making one, but it did't work.

Yes, send them to Holger (the maker). His e-mail address is: info@artsoft.org . He will add your levels to his contributions set then.

If you want that others can immediately play your levels, you can upload your levels at Zomis' Rocks 'n' Diamonds File Archive: http://www.zomis.net/rnd/

I'm also working on a site with freeware boulderdash games and everything around (with always all available levelsets from everywhere for example) and as soon as I see that there's a new levelset somewhere I will upload it on that website, except when it's planned to be included in the contributions set (that stays secret until releasing...). Well, one need to know how CEs works a lot.
You can open my level above in the level editor and check the properties of all CEs (mainly the change conditions), everything is there :)
