Time Gate Rush

The time gate is set to 5 seconds.

Well, nothing really interesting, just a quick rush (this level can be solved in 5 seconds).

Maybe this post should go in the Puzzles section, but it is not exactly a puzzle... well, up to the moderators, feel free to displace it.

The following variation cannot be solved in less than 10 seconds - prove me wrong!

Edit: I can't solve this in less than 11 seconds. About the above, it's technically impossible to go under 10 seconds.

And, hey, the player moves at normal speed.

I haven't been able to solve either of these yet. The time gate closes directly when I start the level.

And no, I would not consider this as a puzzle.

Too poetic/cryptic for a game hint?

Yep.

Thanks for submitting the levels and tapes, now I understand. I just wasn't fast enough when I tried.

The idea behind my cryptic hint is that a time gate cannot be passed while it is opening or closing. But if you press the wheel while it is beginning to close, it will be open (and passable) in almost no time.
