looking for dx-diggem

Post by Martijn »

Hello,

I'm working on a site with boulder dash games, levels etc. and I'm looking for the last version of DX-Boulderdash, called DX-Diggem. It's DX-Boulderdash v0.44. It's not available on the Internet as far as I know.

Is there anybody who knows where I can get this game or who has this game on his computer? I have tried to contact the author, but I haven't had a response.

As far as I know, this version was never released (also announced to be released), which is sad, because DX-Boulderdash was a great BD/EM/SP clone. :-(

It seems that Steffest had vanished, yes. :-(

The last version I have is V0.43alpha, which you probably already have...

But DX-Diggem HAS been released! But the download link has vanished. On the site you can read: 'grab it here' but there's no link (anymore).

I tried to contact Steffest via ICQ and e-mail but I don't get any responses. I'm sure the game has been released so I hope there's a boulderdash fan around here who has it for me!

(By the way: the same with 'High Carats'. I got it from the maker.)

Then I would also be interested! :-)
(Never saw any release of DX-Diggem after DX-DB 0.43alpha...)

Yes, it would be nice to get the last available version.

Also vanished from the web? "High Carats" also looked very promising... :-o

I'm working hard on my site so in some time you can get it all from the web. Finally I have found a good host. I've nearly completed 60% of the site.

Is there anybody who has got the game GemWars? I can remember I played it myself, but that's about 2 years ago. It's homepage is: http://www.kolumbus.fi/laineet/gwars/ but the main site has disappeared.

Maybe it's wise to post some requests in this topic. I'm still working on my site and there are many clones which have totally disappeared and at this place, many boulder dash fans come.

Sad, but true! :-o

I have experienced this with quite a few BD clones in the last years, like High Carats (at least the homepage seem to have vanished), but also some others...

Yes, I know, and we all know the cause of this...

btw. I have High Carats, my site has even an own page for it, so don't worry about it. I have even found good hosting for it, so it will be on the Internet again in... a few weeks?? (Depends on when I will have finished my site. Will be soon.)

Huh? What? Where? That's not my work!

Which page do you get from me then? I only said something about the site of Gemwars, didn't I? What site are you aiming at? I have never suggested a bad site.

On the DX-Boulderdash homepage, you could download dxtools.zip. But the link is dead. Is there anyone who still has this on his PC? It contains Emerald Mine graphics and more. I can remember I sent it (only the EM graphics) once to Holger, a long time ago.
