RND Files Archive temporarily paused

Post by Zomis »

We have a serious problem with our webserver so we have to reconfigure most of it I think, we have tried many solutions but we have decided for a reconfiguration (or something, I'm not the highest admin of it so what do I know? :P)

Anyways, this mean that there will be no uploading of new files or voting on existing files. Also, no new users can be created. This is just because a backup has just been made, and if any new things would be added now then they may cause some corrupted stuff later.
Downloading will still be possible for a while though.

I hope that this stop will be for less than one week, but nothing is for sure.
Meanwhile, just make a bunch of levels, most of us have alternative webhosts so use them :)
I promise you that the RND Files Archive will be back.

Nobody uses your Archive. In the last 30 days:

Sep-24 dandps - Stuff nothing to do with rnd
Sep-11 zomis - You, the only one user since these 30 days
Aug-27 danpps - Stuff nothing to do with rnd too

So don´t speak so much about it, who does that care except yourself and dandps ?

Well, those who want to care can care. I just wanted to say it anyways.
And yes I know, even you have your own website - but some haven't you know.
And one think which isn't public for users:
There has been 49 downloads this week.
154 downloads the week before this week.

No idea what has happened exactly with the archive, but I'm glad to hear that everything's fine again! Thanks for keeping it up and running, Zomis and Flummi! :-)

The problem was that my brother changed the symlink for libc, so that all commands except the built-in ones (and those who are statically linked like ldconfig) was impossible to execute.
One learn by ones mistakes :)
