The EMC levelset

Post by RAP »

Say, is anyone still playing the EMC levels since around 2006 when it released? ...Or are you guys waiting for an update of new levelsets? I continued playing since July 10, 2008 when I lost those tapes already... sniff. I'm continuing to practice my reflexes and beat most levels since I am now 14. Most of those levels are simplistic and easy while others like "Nightmare on Emerald Street" can be surprising tricky in most situations-- and the Bond Mine series also. If you guys are actually still playing, gimme a progress. :P Well, maybe a brief info, I just knocked down 100 levels-- again easy ones. I'll tell my detailed progress later, it's nightly late for me. ^_^;

I haven't played RnD in a while, though I still check forums almost everyday. Although that might not be possible for 2 weeks, cause I've gone over my download limit and they've killed my speed!

But not too long ago, I was into the EMC levelsets, though I prefer the original Emerald Mine sets, probably cause I only had EM4 on the Amiga, which is what launched me to find DC, and then RnD!

I'd been hoping someone would go through these! :D
I'd do it myself but I'm not very good at all and plus I don't have (nearly) that much time... It would be nice to know which ones are possible.
Does anyone have any recommendations? It's hard to find a mine for my general skill level, it seems... most are either repetitive/boring or far too hard for me.

Baby Dusty Mini Mine, Eagle Mine, and The Exception Two seem good.
Emerald Dash is impossible, I think its for the BD engine or something.

Oooo! Baby Dusty Mini Mine? I played that! It is suprising challenging once you played the eariler levels, I'm stuck in level 48, ^_^ I wanna know how to work on those springs. :P What level are you in? ;)

Oh and my current status of playing those EMC levels, from July 10, 2008 to now:
Baby Dusty Mini Mine - 50/81 solved, levels 0-47, 50, 80
Baby Ghost Mine - 17/103 solved, levels 0-16
BD4 - 8/81 solved, levels 0-8, stopped because of Yam-Yams at the border, around the level doesn't act like walls, I'd played the actual game before. Other levels may not support the game engine well.
Bond Mine 1 - 2/81 solved, levels 0-1
Bond Mine 9 - Xmas Mine 1 - 4/81 solved, levels 0-3
Bond Mine 17 - Xmas Mine 3 - 2/103 solved, levels 0-1
Cosmos Mine 1 - 1/103 solved, level 0
Down Under Mine 1 - 9/181 solved, levels 0-8
Into Aladdin's Caves 1 - 18/81 solved, levels 0-17
Into the History Holes - 1/81 solved, level 0
Into the Terrible Tunnels - 1/103 solved, levels 0-1
Kids Fun Mine - 48/103 solved, levels 0-17
Nightmare on Emerald Street 1 - 8/103 solved, levels 0-7
Oh! No More Yams 2 - 1/103 solved, levels 0
Through the Chaos Caves 22 - 4/81 solved, levels 3, 4, 13, 14
Through the Eve Caves - 5/88 solved, levels 0-4
Through the Sprint Mine - 1/81 solved, level 14
Tutorial 1 - 52/102 solved, levels 0-51
Young Denmine 1 - 77/103 solved, levels 0-71, 73-79 (the older tapes are recorded in October 5, 2007; levels 0-13)
Young Denmine 2 - 16/103 solved, levels 0-15

This totals up to 325 levels solved, again, easy ones, then with some toughies that I'd like a challenge. :P

Notes:
¹ All levelsets start at level 0.
² Last several levels may contain empty levels or not inserted.

I'm stuck on 48 as well... the only notable thing about the spring (as far as I know) is that it can eat robots as it travels.

In Eagle Mine, I'm on 9... tricky :?

*EDIT* Now on level 12

I beated level 48 from that crazy mine! You use the spring like a boulder to hit that robot to get those gems from those walls. XD
