Seems like just a supaplex clone so my suggestion is that you make the graphics, fix the configuration files, make the levels and then release it :)
If you need help with the configuration files: look at existing examples, like Bd2k3.

I have also thought of this and the graphics are very nice but the gameplay is somewhat different from the normal boulderdash games.

maybe you can 'steal' some graphics here:

So just rip off the graphics from the game (if it's free, of course), create a custom graphics set from them and then try to convert the level set using these graphics and CEs!

I'm working on it now. I have the graphics and I will get the sounds soon. So don't start on it, otherwise we have 2 heartlights! (Maybe it's useful to start a topic about the projects we all are working on to prevent that 2 are working on the same. Zomis has told he is also working on getting old games in RnD so that belongs also there, then.)

But the graphics are 16x16 pixels so I have to enlarge them to 32x32 pixels. And then it looks not as beautiful anymore. And the walking animation consists of only 2 animations. Doesn't look very well either. Does anyone have a suggestion how I can improve these graphics?

I'm working on the tapes for all possible RnD levels, so don't start on it.

Anyway, Heartlight seems to be a nice (though simple-looking) game. I'm playing the java port now :-)

There are only two ways:
- manually improve the graphics to 32x32 resolution, like I did with the Supaplex graphics (this is the hard way)
- keep the "classic" resolution -- this does not necessarily look bad (but "nostalgic", of course)

To help with the second approach, there's a new token suffix available for the "graphicsinfo.conf":

element.scale_up_factor: 2

This automatically scales the graphic from 16x16 pixel tile size to 32x32 pixel tile size.

This new function is only available in the new 3.2.0-* pre-release versions.
