other boulderdash games

Post by Martijn »

Hello.

I like RnD very much, but there are more boulderdash games. I like RnD most, but I also want to play other boulderdashes. I know another very good one: Safrosoft's Rox.

But do you know another good one? With good graphics and gameplay and sounds? May be commercial or not.

Good boulderdash clones are always shareware like Treasure Mole.
(don't blame me)

RND is truly the best one I know of..
I like SubTerra a bit (not much), I'm really getting sick while playing it...(because of the graphics)
So my suggestion is: Stick to RND ;)

RnD is the best, because:

a: the graphics are very ok
b: you can make your own levels
c: you can make ce's
d: holger listens to your ideas and comments
e: there are sooooo many levels
f: different boulderdash games are included

I assume you are seeking Windows versions?

Diamond Caves isn't bad (not free though)

Greenface is an ok Supaplex clone, except the GFX background makes things a bit hard to see (ain't free either)

DX Boulderdash might also interest you (and it's free too!, although it does not seem to be under development anymore)

First Star Software (makers of original Boulderdash) also have some new versions.

Winplex is a Supaplex clone, and it wasn't free,
not a bad game.

Nice site! But the High Carats download link is dead. The link will be fixed at gamezworld.de next month (that's what the webmaster mailed me there).

There is a new Supaplex game and it's free:
http://www.sergant.pp.ru/sup_download_eng.html

And a forum with lots of levels for Supaplex and level editor with all the source code.

I knew both of them. I already bundled many of the loose levels in level collections. But the supaplex game is still in development and still very incomplete. I wonder if it is still being developed.

But there's another supaplex clone (very promising!!) coming. And I will also be the level designer together with the creator! I'm looking forward to it! (But the maker is very busy at the moment.) Find info about the game here: http://www.wizardofoz.hwgn.net/
