Using phpBB Smilies

Post by Daniel H. »

OK, but whenever I quote you and one of your Smilies (which I guess I could avoid), I have to disable Smilies, or else my quote of you looks like this:

Instead of this, which would be more accurate:

The H. World levelset can be downloaded from http://www.bd-fans.com/RnD.html -- search The H. World on that page.

BTW -- Sometimes you make your Smiley Faces using a semicolon instead of a colon -- is that to avoid having a Smiley made?

OK. It seems that there was just another reason created to use "ASCII smilies": To remind people that smilies already existed on text-only terminals in the Internet (Usenet, to be precise) long before the WWW was created... ;-)

Thanks! So we at least need the "Off Topic" section in this forum! (OK, OK, I'm already off-topic again... but wait: I'm just on-topic again, but a different topic in an "on topic" section. Please don't re-join this to that thread... =:-) ;-) )

Holger, are you trying to confuse me?
AAAARGH

OK, I get it. Whenever I try to quote you or use the Emoticons pictures on the left side of the posting screen, it comes on the post as

Lol, don't worry Holger :) Besides, there's no way to re-join threads in phpBB (yet... there will be when the new 3.0 comes out, or whatever version it is...)
