Very nice! It's really more an hack than a feature :D

By the way, reading the forum, in these last times, is nicely and interestingly time-expensive ;)

Unfortunately, I can't edit the first post of this post :P otherwise I would change the name to phpBB and its hacks.

As long as we are talking about hacks, I feel like it would be worth linking to this discussion: As long as we are talking about hacks, I feel like it would be worth linking to this discussion: link--> <--link

Good idea, just did it - I am soooo mighty ;)

By the way, the smilie at the end of the following line contains a link:

It's not so straight, it's a way to hide links, but...
...well, we are accustomed to some hide&seek, in this forum... ;) ...sdrawkcab gnitirw detrats ydobon yhw rednow osla I...
...furthermore this is an "hacking" thread :!:

OK, I made that smilie link clearer in my post by using Francesco's code.

Some of my very recent posts have links in the text that don't look like links at all (until somebody quotes me). They work using between the URL tags. Here's another (?) example. (There are also two others hidden within this post!)

It appears as if I changed where the smilie led to as well!

It use to be like this:

...it leads to your last post above, now... but the link in my quote is still correct, so what happened? If you're sure that you didn't change the URL, that behaviour would be indeed very strange...

...by the way, nobody noticed the centered smilie in my post above? phpBB has no alignment feature!
(allright, allright, that's not a hack, it's a way to highlight (<--hint :!: ) the double, hidden message 8))

No, I changed the URL. Maybe the "shock" smilie ( ) wasn't the best smilie to choose for the post above.
Francesco wrote:...by the way, nobody noticed the centered smilie in my post above?
Well, I didn't really think about the fact that it was aligned. It only appears aligned on 1024x768 screens anyway.

Here's something else:
Q: Why does phpBB say that this post was edited five times even though it is the last post in the topic? :)

You should have used a trick, like posting two messages, editing the first and then deleting the *real* last one, just like I did with this one, that now appears to be edited one time...

...ok, centered smilie apart, the hidden message had not been reported... no problem, someone will notice it sooner or later.

Do people usually write things here ?

Do you mean the backwards writing?
It was easy to spot. :)
BTW : there are some secrets in this post.

:D

Most people don't even usually read what's here.

Yes, that is VERY strange. It is so strange that I don't think that I would have used it in other posts because it would not have been worth it.
