For now I think that "use graphics of" should do the job -- it also displays that changed graphic in the editor, which should be the thing that is wanted in most cases. (For other cases, like hiding elements in the editor, the graphicsinfo.conf file seems to be the best solution...)

There won't be a new engine for each and every new game idea. ;-)

Some games can be converted using CEs, others cannot.
