MP3s are not co-operating.

When I try to put in an MP3 file as a custom song for a stage, it often degrades in terms of loudness and sound quality. You can barely hear the music most of the time, and it always sounds muffled. Please fix this so all MP3s sound nice and crisp. (There was also an instance where the MP3 slowed do...

Re: Expert Mine 3 Level 78

Yo, Jamie,

I played the level, and I also came up with one emerald short. Sorry, but I really think that this level is impossible.
As a joke though, I could modify the level to have one less emerald in the emerald count, so that the level is actually possible...

Trial of the Emerald: The ultimate skill test

Here is a level that I made before the forum was created. This is the ultimate test of skill for all vanilla R'n'D players, and I am curious to see how far everyone gets. This level is not intended to be completed, only to see how far into the level you can make it. If you do complete it, I will giv...

I really want to see this used in a levelset, this is amazing!
Reminds me of the Mario games... :D

Re: Expert Mine 3 Level 78

I've just tried that level and ... came up 1 short. I did find a way to expose the needed emeralds, but not helpfully. At the last 2 bugs, instead of pushing the rock onto the top bug, stand under the rock (so it doesn't fall) and let the bug hit you -- boom, 3 emeralds, 1 diamond, 1 dead player :(...

Re: How to animate custom elements?

What exactly do you want to do? There should be nothing that you can do with PCX files that you cannot do with PNG files -- one reason that older level sets (and older versions of R'n'D itself) did not use PNG files is that the PNG file format did not exist when R'n'D was released first... :-) Well...

Re: Expert Mine 3 Level 78

Yo, Jamie, It's me! I know this post was made over a year ago (people call this "necroposting" and they call it a bad thing  ) but I don't care. What I'm interested in is if you still need help with this, because I am all ears with this! There is a screenshot of a stage attached to ...

Yo, Jamie, Here are the levels!: 001: Teamwork Tower 002: Cell City 003: Uneasy Transportation 004: Hall of 1000 Gates 005: Wasteland Facility (originally titled "Composter") 006: Metropolis (originally scrapped. this one had a few oddities, such as an incorrect gem count and a few walls t...

Holger wrote: Mon Aug 03, 2020 9:21 pm Check your mail -- I already answered it half a day ago. ;-)
Thanks for the response! I understand everything.
BD2K3 has 3D elements as opposed to 2D animated ones. Plus, BD2K3 uses the .pcx extension. Is there anyway to do this with PNGs, and if so, how?
Thanks.

Nice! Again, if you do complete it... give me a download?

As Eizzoux already mentioned, it should be possible to add it...
Cool!

I just hope that Eizzoux actually does take some time to make it...

Re: Puyo Puyo in Rocks'n'Diamonds

I'm thinking of porting Puyo Puyo to Rocks'n'Diamonds, with a few extra additions. Who wants me to go forth with this? Alright then, Puyo Puyo time! It's my favorite puzzle style game (aside form Rocks'n'Diamonds puzzle levelsets), and to have an excuse to study its intricate strategies more... ama...

Re: How to animate custom elements?

For getting ConfEdit to work on recent Windows versions, look here: https://www.artsoft.org/rocksndiamonds/tools/ But you can also simply use just any graphics program and any ordinary text editor to create graphics and animations for your custom elements, plus the definitions for the configuration...

Re: Lasers in R'n'D

Ah, OK! Very cool! :D You might like to have a look at the "Snakebite" level set then, which also uses something similar, including working reflections! 8) I definitely will, thank you! I'm also thinking of making all-new elements (not inspired at all by Mirror Magic), one of them being a...
