In my dictionary:
RND = random
RnD = Rocks'n'Diamonds
R&D = Research and Development

Not to mention loading the tapes, even on pretty modern machines...

It might be that the save limit is set within a level itself (just like a time limit). And like a time limit, this 'feature' could be disabled in the options. Savepoints might be a good idea as well, though I would prefer to choose point-of-save by myself.

Hm, I was very eager to try it out, but it seems the file is missing. I got 404 for both versions (wrap_scroll.zip & wrap_scroll2.zip). :-/

I should find my Grandma's old Scrabble game to also create some... :-) It's not really needed (unless you want to treat it as an excuse ;p), here's what I do: I put the 'original' string in this box and start making up words right below it. As I use some letter in the anagram, I remove it from the...

Artsoft Entertainment:

Star of ten in treatment (only a few letters changed places!)
Fat, rotten tennis tamer
Tonnes-fat mint treater
Front mitten ant-eaters

Too bad none of these make sense... :-D

"How can I play tapes recorded by someone else?" (it's actually a slightly altered quote from this forum) Also useful would be a Bestiary for the classic games (BD/EM/SP) - or maybe it's already done? If so, forgive my ignorance. But on the other hand, part of the newbie fun is finding out...

Sounds like a good idea! Personally I very rarely use the speakers and almost never for games, but very often when I was playing RnD I switched to some other window when the tape was being loaded and forgot about RnD for the next few hours... good thing there's a pause after the tape is loaded... so...

Topic: Boulder Dash levelsets - identical?

What I would like to know, is what ´a´ and ´a2´ etc. mean. It's just a convention of naming used in case there are several versions that differ only slightly (e.g. as you already mentioned, with different name of the cracker or the cracktro etc.), but are essentially the same. I don't think making ...

Well, I guess I could, but I'd probably miss the fun. Anyway, it's a very good idea to make a levelset for two players cooperating - there haven't been many sets like this for RnD.

Ok, now I know why it must be on. A useless levelset for me, but have a lot of fun the rest of you.

"Multiplayer must be on for this levelset"

Why? How come it's a must and what if I don't have anyone to play with me?

No, sorry, I haven't tried it. I read about it and some options seem like a good idea, but I didn't try to compile it (because I think only Win32 version is available as a binary, but I can see a source in the archive). Well, since I don't really need any of the options, I just didn't bother.
