Re: Widescreen Mode 1920x1080 (zip)
Did these conf mods a while back, even though I'm posting them now. May still need some changes. config to make this work at 2048x1080, a lot of levels fit perfectly at this resolution graphicsinfo.conf config to make this work at 3840x2160, another common display resolution, (probably too much for ...

Re: Adjust level scale to fit within viewing area without scrolling.
I tried out some of the levels from http://www.jb-line.de/rnd17/dat/22download_e.html At least some of these sets have their own custom theme, and aren't compatible with the 1920x1080 theme above. This theme feels like the viewable playfield at one time of 15x13 is way too small for me. Tried modif...

Adjust level scale to fit within viewing area without scrolling.
I'd be neat if there was an option to auto scale the view so that the level perfectly fits within it(enlarge/shrink, keep ratio), letter/pillar boxing if needed. Sort of like a lot of image viewers do. There could be a shortcut key available to toggle for this, and options for integer scaling. https...

Re: Simple tape restore problem
A lot of the time there's a tape mess up it seems that that tape []|>playback adds something that quick restore doesn't; tape []|>playback often results in a longer tape time than quick save/restore does. [at least old tapes still have this bug.]

Re: Simple tape restore problem
This message during tape playback quick saves, messes up save habits. Not sure what to do about this -- "No tape that could be saved!" means that you cannot save the tape, because it is empty (which should only ever happen if you start the game in pause mode and press the "quick save...

Re: Simple tape restore problem
"NO TAPE THAT COULD BE SAVED!". This message during tape playback quick saves, messes up save habits. I'm used to doing a quick save keyboard shortcut, then a 'Enter' dismissing message(without reading it) to do a save. Instead of 'Enter' dismissing that does a quick save, this 'Enter' di...

Re: Simple tape restore problem
If you find a tape that has this problem, a potential workaround seems to be when stationary making sure the tape full []|>playback and quick save/restore go to the same stationary point. Do something like a []|> playback restore to point that you want to go to, if not stationary get that way, quick...

Re: Pause sometimes doesn't unpause when a button is pressed
Instead of []stop going into an awkward unsavable* game play mode, it could go into the start of tape []|>playback mode ||paused, with a message of how tape []|>playback works, until a do not show again is selected, and/or these instructions could be added to something like a MAIN MENU > INFO SCREEN...

Re: Simple tape restore problem
Just tried out rocksndiamonds-4.3.3.0. This bug seems to be fixed now :D :D ! (well, at least in my brief testing around with this particular tape issue so far) Note: There isn't this easy way to test out this bug right at level start any more on this version. It's blocked by inability to save at th...

Re: Quick restore doesn't go to finishing save point
I believe I've seen a few times where a quick restore would go to the wrong spot(a prior save spot?), then doing a quick restore again went to the right spot. I think I kind of got this to happen again. Not sure of the exact cause or pattern. Although, I can try to describe what I was doing. [wow.....

Re: Pause sometimes doesn't unpause when a button is pressed
Then, creating snapshots using "quick save" should only be possible while recording the game, not when playing without recording (which would always result in broken tapes). An additional restraint could be that playing shouldn't be permitted while not recording, or can play only while re...

Re: Can't move player after restoring from some tapes
Weird... Earlier I backed up some of the tapes that R'n'D wouldn't let me continue from. Then redid them from scratch earlier. Backed up these good tapes. Restored the bad tapes that were giving me problems and preventing me from continuing them. Now it's letting me continue from them like normal, a...

Re: Simple tape restore problem
Did you do something different that the above to get that strange result? It was doing this all the time, even after R'n'D restarts. now...? I just tried setting 'START GAME IN PAUSE MODE' to 'OFF', and the problem went away. Set this back to 'ON', and the problem reappeared after restarting R'n'D,...
