Alan Bond has made a nice program named "ConfEdit" to edit conf-files like soundsinfo.

Yes, this is already possible using CEs - not without limitations of course, it might cause some problems when other elements are in the area, but I think that using the options already existing in the CEs, there is no need to add this option.

What stable version should I use? For playing EMC levelsets, 3.2.3 is the last stable version currently that displays all the EMC graphics correctly. Hopefully you can find a DL for that version.
