RnD drippers don't work when exposed by a light switch/lenses
I wasn't sure if this was a flat-out bug or an intentional variation on how drippers work in EMC, but it does seem odd that lenses and light switches do anything aside from making things visible.

Level setting: force invisible level border
Right now the level border is only ever invisible and obscured from the camera (if possible) when it is completely surrounded by indestructible elements, e.g.: https://i.frogbox.es/lff I think it would be useful to have a setting that forces the level border to be invisible and not favored by the ca...

Switching switches has too much delay in single-step mode
When you're playing a level in single-step mode, if you switch a switch (e.g. conveyor belt lever, magic ball switch, or switch door switch), you have to wait some arbitrary amount of time before you can switch that switch again; unless you move (not just snap, actually move) against a solid object ...

Alternating between TAS snap keys lets you move
Hold any snap key (e.g. snap left), then hold a second snap key (e.g. snap down) while still holding down the first snap key. Once you stop holding down either one of the snap keys, you'll walk in the direction of whichever snap key you're still holding down. https://i.frogbox.es/lfa ^ This gif does...

Snapping (or is it just TAS snapping?) at falling gems may not save correctly in tapes
https://i.frogbox.es/lf7 ^ Here's a tape of Level 6, "Starships", in Niko Boehm's tutorial (which is preincluded with most downloads of RnD). I was investigating score corruption and decided to make a high-score tape of it using good ol' single-step mode. When I recorded it, it worked perf...

Impossibly high scores in Hall of Fame
Every now and then I seem to catch a glimpse of scores in the Hall of Fame (scores that I do not have tapes for anymore :?) that are waaaay higher than what seems possible in the levels they are tied to. Take, for example, "my" scores for Level 6, "Starships", of Niko Boehm's tut...

Re: The "Too much stuff on the panel"
Is it okay if I use this as the default graphics for a levelset I'm making? I would provide full credit to you on the "level set info" screen and when I post it on the forums.

Re: Diamond Caves is being sold on Steam now
Nowadays the developer has gotten way better about supporting the "older ways", especially since now that the editor is out you can play any levels from any set in any order you want with the "test" feature. The developer is also porting old DC2 and DC3 levelsets to DC5 one by on...

Were the current default songs for RnD and Mirror Magic included with permission from the composers?
Don't worry, this is not a complaint post! :) I am simply wondering. I'm interested in making my own tutorial level for RnD that covers everything absent in Niko Bohm and Aaron Davidson's tutorials (white keys, androids, gems slipping off of flat walls, etc.) and include a new "soundtrack"...

Re: List of DC3 elements and elements that are different in DC3
A few more things I forgot to mention: Conveyors are indestructible in DC3, but in RnD they can be destroyed like normal. Perhaps RnD could have two variants of each conveyor belt: indestructible, and destructible. In RnD, moles can be crushed by rocks, in which case they explode into nine gems. Mol...

Dripper can grow amoeba under itself when in midair in RnD engine
https://i.frogbox.es/lel On the left is the EM-style dropping amoeba, on the right is the invisible "dripper" amoeba from EMC. Dropping amoeba never grows directly under itself if it is suspended in mid-air, but the dripper amoeba sees no problem with that. EM treats dropping & drippe...

Re: List of DC3 elements and elements that are different in DC3
In RnD -- at least in the Emerald Mines Club 50000-level conglomeration which I've been playing recently -- yams do seem to eat diamonds which they pass during a linear motion; like so: ...Yyyyyvyyyyy ==> yam moving this way ........D..... ==> passes diamond below, pauses to eat it before continuin...

Re: List of DC3 elements and elements that are different in DC3
Some afterthoughts and responses to filbo's post (I can no longer edit my original post): Snapping works for remote bomb controls. Rainbow door can't be opened with a white key, but it can be after collecting the skeleton key. Light barriers, barrier emitters, and barrier switches are indestructible...
