Re: confedit is not working
I was actually able to bypass this issue in some directions bundled on the ConfEdit download page, think you have to run the program as "administrator" if I remember correctly. But, then a new issue presents itself - ConfEdit straight up does not seem recognize newer versions of Rocks'n'Di...

New Global Animation Features?
Hi, everyone!! I'm back after a long hiatus... let's hope I'm able to stay a while :D I've downloaded the new update and would like to try some of the new global animation features, see if something is possible to do. Is there some sort of documentation for everything that's possible with this new f...

How To Reference Element
Capture.PNG I've passed by these elements almost every time I work on my latest levelset. This time, I've stopped to think about them. The only thing I really know about them is that you're not supposed to use them directly in your level. But how ARE you supposed to use them? From what I know, ther...

Re: What is the easiest way to make Each level in a different color?
Well, there's default yellow and green sand, so you're covered there. You'll have to use custom graphics for the other colors, preferably over custom element slots and then setting the custom elements as diggable. I attached a possible graphics folder to show how it could work with custom elements: ...

Re: A Totally Normal Levelset
Dang, just realized this entire time that I had FORGOTTEN to download version 4.3.1.1! How does that happen?
As soon as I get back to my computer I will get on that and tell you if the crash happens.

Re: A Totally Normal Levelset
First of all, thank you all for playing this levelset and I'm so glad that you like it! Hint: You might want to resample file "sounds/halloffame.wav" from 44100 to 22050 Hz -- at least for me, it crashes SDL_mixer (on a very old Linux; it works just fine on a not-too-old Mac), and R'n'D on...

Re: A Totally Normal Levelset
Love this. Made me feel like I was on mushrooms. Stuck on levels 4 and 6 though - any hints? Jamie x Hey Jamie, Glad you like it! For level 4, I can only say that you haven't really SEEN THROUGH one part of the puzzle... or maybe WALKED THROUGH? And for level 6, just keep walking around. The exit's...

A Totally Normal Levelset

Ultrafast Exit Scenario
Here I am with another small bug that I found: If you set the speed to ultrafast, run against a wall above you, and then enter right next to you horizontally, you'll get this funny glitch where the player does not actually disappear but the exit still closes and the level still ends. Picture attache...

Sound Management In Elements
So, I am doing some experiments with sound in custom elements, and I am having a bit of trouble achieving what I want. I want to make it so that a custom element plays a sound once upon creation, and then nothing more after that. I've achieved this in multiple ways, but with a bunch of undesired sid...

Re: Respawn Anchor crashes the game
Here's the tape. I've gotten it into a situation where it always crashes on my end, no matter what I do next. The weird thing is, one of the times, it didn't crash. I think it had something to do with the fact that I paused the game or something. Again, this was on Windows (and not the new Windows 1...

Respawn Anchor crashes the game
Hey, Holger and forum members. Hope you're all doing well. So, a while back I made a level called "Respawn Anchors and Cheating Death". It was a short and neat little level that toyed around with a custom element that teleported you after you died. You can find the level here: https://www....

How do I make an Artsoft API account?
Hello, everyone! To Holger: Congrats on the new update! It's super cool that the new high score server is finally here. How do I get tapes uploaded onto Artsoft API, though? When I opened the game on the new version it gave me the automatic prompt to upload all of my tapes to the high score server, ...

Suggestions for Earth Shaker stuff that can't exactly be done with custom elements
Earth Shaker was a game made for the ZX Spectrum in 1990 by Michael Batty. I think that there are a few interesting things in Earth Shaker that could be put in Rocks'n'Diamonds to spice up levels. First off, the jumping beans. These beans are basically the extra time collectibles in Rocks'n'Diamonds...
